Arrow Unanswered: Purescale major version rolling upgrades

from what I saw fixpack updates in a purescale environment can be easily done in a rolling fashion. But how about major version upgrades (e.g. DB2 10.1 -> 10.5)?

I read in the IBM pages about the procedure, and more or less you follow the "classic" upgrade method. But in step 3 it says "Stop all instance processes in other members by issuing the db2stop instance on <hostname> command where hostanme is the name of each member in the cluster.".

So I guess we cannot avoid downtime, or maybe I am missing something here?

    Thanks in advance.

If you are already at 10.5, you can do rolling fixpack upgrades with pureScale. This is not available in 10.1 or earlier.

At the moment, major version upgrades require a complete outage (all versions/releases).
