    Post Unanswered: Parse date and text from a column into two column

    Would need some help in Access Database 2007....this is my first time posting anything ever, so I'm a newbie. I have a column that has a fullname and date of birth next to them. And I need to split the column into two.
    Here is the example. 1st record= "Christy Maharjan 10/23/1946" and 2nd record = "Angie Urdahl 9/12/1997" and also 3rd record = "oliver m. Jenkins 2/17/1955" .....there is a space in between person name and DOB and some time DOB month and days have more then 1 character is my problem. Please any assistant will be great.

    Replacing TargetControl with the actual name of your original Column:

    Code:
    DOB = Mid(Me.TargetControl, InStrRev(Me.TargetControl, " "))
    FullName = Left(Me.TargetControl, InStrRev(Me.TargetControl, " ") - 1)

    Hope this helps!

    The problem with making anything foolproof...is that fools are so darn ingenious!
