Unanswered: listing contents of a temporary tablespace

    Hi Everyone

Can you help me with this Q, as have not yet worked out how to do this:

How do I list contents (objects) that are currently in a temporary tablespace?

I can do this in Oracle, but not yet in db2, can you help?

You can do a snapshot for tables and look for TEMP or db2pd with -tcbstats and look for Temp. Why do you need to know what's in temp tablespace?

    thanks for reply.

when i switch temp tablespaces and drop original (to increase size of my dms temp ts) i want to ensure that the temp ts is empty.

Is there a concept of setting a temp tablespace as the 'default' temp tablespace in db2?

DB2 won't let you drop a temp tablespace if some application is still using it.

Check this link for info about how DB2 decides which temp tablespace to use:
IBM DB2 9.7 for Linux, UNIX and Windows Information Center
