Unanswered: crossnode recovery into different db name fails are rollforward stage

    DB2 9.7/AIX 7.1

    Hello.

I am trying a cross node recovery from an online backup however the destination db name to which I am restoring is different from source db.

While the restore command executed fine, the rollforward fails with error SQL4970N as db2 cannot find log files.

I understand that at rollforward stage db2 has lost the source db name & its trying to look for logs associated with destination db and hence it cannot find them.

Is there any way I can tell db2 to look for source db logs ?

As far as I have found we can only force db2 to look for a specific TSM server name & instance name.
    i.e. options -fromnode, -fromowner

if tsm is involved : there is a redbook about it
otherwise : place logs in specific directory and use overflow log path with rollforward

Thanks Guy. I wanted to a way to avoid manual extraction of files. Yes TSM is involved.
