Unanswered: Testing ODBC from Debian after client SDK is instlled

    Hello,
I'm working on connecting to an Informix database from a Debian server. I've successfully installed the Informix client SDK and I've configured the odbc.ini with the DSN, but I don't know how to test it to see if it works. Can anyone help?

Testing ODBC from Debian after client SDK is instlled

If you look in the demo/cli directory where ClientSDK is installed you will find numerous cli files that can be compiled then used with ODBC.

You will need a compiler installed on the Debian machine to use with the *.c programs.

You will need to modify the program for your own usage. You may want to start with the dbcreate.c or the rcselect.c program.
