    Exclamation Unanswered: Personalised website scripts?

    Hi

I am new to scripting I have taught myself how to turn a script into html to display various things on the page such as server time/space/weather/google search

I now want to make a script to personalise the website, for example changing the city of the weather or changing the google search to bing/yahoo how would i go about implementing another script and linking it to personalise the html generated?

To generalize; have the user supply input to a form, or look up the required information from a data file.
Since you asked in the Unix section, start reading php, followed by mysql.
