    Unanswered: MS Access 2007 is not grouping records in a summary query

    I am trying to summarize and group duplicate records in table, but it is not working. I have done this same operation thousands of times before. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. The screen1 file shows the query. The screen 2 file shows the query result. I would have expected the result to only show 1 record for 201101, but it is not being grouped.

    Any and all help is appreciated.

    SELECT FECDL_DS_WB_REVENUE.AcctYrMo
    FROM FECDL_DS_WB_REVENUE
    GROUP BY FECDL_DS_WB_REVENUE.AcctYrMo
    HAVING (((FECDL_DS_WB_REVENUE.AcctYrMo)=201101));

    Curious; I got an email notification of a reply with SQL in it. The SQL looked like it should work. There isn't perhaps a time value in there or something, is there? Can you post the db here?

    Thanks for your interest and attempt to help. My tech guy figured it out. The Access db is querying a SAS db. The SAS db requires an aggregation field for the "group by" to work, such as summing dollars or counting records.
