Unanswered: Showing specific data columns for specific data

    Hello,

I need to display an entire table of data in one of my queries, that is no problem, but for 4 specific rows of data, I need to display extra columns from another table which is related to those specific 4 rows. How do I do this? Is it something to do with inner joins or no?

    Thanks!

Most likely an outer join will be required.

Want to elaborate on your problem?

If you are asking for an irregular result set (where a thousand rows have four columns and four rows have six columns), I'm pretty certain that MySQL can't do that.

You would need to create two separate queries, with two different result sets.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
