Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to link access table to Linux database using Sybase? I'm currently exporting an ad-hoc query from an application and using an Access update query to update a static table. I would like to have it continuously linked so that I can eliminate doing the ad-hoc all the time. I have never used Linux a day in my life, but have support to run any commands as needed. As far as I know, we currently have Sybase Central 4.3 and ASE 15.0.1. The problem is we don't know how to set up a user connection in Linux or through Sybase. I've gone through trying to link a table and choosing ODBC, but don't know how to find any of the connection settings or create a normal username and password. Any help step by step would be greatly appreciated or a link to a thorough tutorial. Thank you.
