    Exclamation Unanswered: particular schema tables cannot be viewed for users.

    user is using Quest aplication to login into DATBASE, but the user is unable to look on the particular schema and its tables.

    following error comes when the user tries top run a query.
    DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-551, SQLSTATE=42501, SQLERRMC=S602551;SELECT;SYSCAT.TABLES, DRIVER=3.57.8"

    User has previlege to Connect the DB and the schema tables previleges also given in the Group level.

    Please advise, we are struck in between. Dont know whats happening and what do we miss

    try this:
    1. Logon directly to the database as the user that the quest application is trying to use
    2. Try to do a select on syscat.tables
    3. If that does not work, the user does not have access to the db2 catalog. Grant accordingly.

    What is most likely happening is the user has access to specific non-catalog schemas but not the db2 catalog schema. Quest and other tools query the db2 catalog to build a list of tables on the system
