    Unanswered: NULLID packages problem

    Dear all,

    I am using db2 10.5 on AIX

by default my db has only 3 packages of this kind. They are SYSLH200,201,202 in NULLID Schema. every thing was going well. About 5 days back i get an error:

    com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlException: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-805, SQLSTATE=51002, SQLERRMC=NULLID.SYSLH306 0X5359534C564C3031, DRIVER=4.16.53

It was a problem related to application tuning (lacking rs.close statement in page). But inadvertently i increase the packages using command:

db2 bind @db2cli.lst blocking all grant public clipkg 30

and then my package count increase to 30 (SYSLH200 to SYSLH20F and SYSLH210 to 21F) 30 is the max for db.

later a corrected my application and revert to my previous setting of 3 packages using:

db2 bind @db2cli.lst blocking all grant public clipkg 3

But still my package count is showing 30 and all are valid.

    1. What to do to drop/remove those extra 27 packages ?
    2. Are those extra package may be causing any adverse effect to system/db ?
    3. I understood that i will never need these packages in future then what is need to keep them in DB ?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

    regards

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
