    Unanswered: Auto runstats policy

    Hello forum,

    I am using db2 10.1 LUW on RHEL 5

I have configure auto runstats policy for an online window of 6 hours.

How can i come to know that any runstats has happened or not, my diaglog isn't reflecting any info about runstats.

is the only way to find it is through catalog view syscat.tables ?

    thanks in advance

yes the syscat.tables shows the runstats timestamp:

    From Info Center:
STATS_TIME TIMESTAMP Y Time at which any change was last made to recorded statistics for this object. The null value if statistics are not collected.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of these enquiries. The point of automatic maintenance is that you rely on DB2 to carry it out when (if) DB2 deems it appropriate.

If you can't or don't want to rely on DB2, perform RUNSTATS manually when YOU deem it necessary.
