Unanswered: Timer not working in the network

    Hi Guys,

I created a very basic "Every Seconds" timer and then shared the database, but it will run only in the Administrator's computer, not in the workstation.
I tested it several times and the problem is the same.

    Thanks

    Ernie

First thing that pops into my mind is, make sure you have “on background” enabled, and that your timer is also set to run for all user groups.

I did "on background" enabled and set the time to run for all user groups, but still it will only run in the Administrators' computer. The "On Database Startup" and "On Database Closing" timer will work though.

Actually, the script in the timer is just a simple "Hi" show message line.

Hi James, thanks for your reply. I tested it in another computer and it works fine. It seems that the problem is not with BD

Could be a firewall issue then. Best to allow the exe for your app freely send inbound and outbound information though the firewall of the PC that is causing the problem.

It's a good idea to do that at the PC that is sharing the database too.
