    Unanswered: ps -ef|grep ora cannot execute

    Greetings to All the members of this forum.
    Let me explain the problem I am facing:
    Server: SUNFIRE V240
    Operating System: Solaris 9
    Database Oracle 9
    Problem: as user oracle on the server, when I try to execute the command
    ps -ef|grep ora, I receive the message
    ksh: ps: cannot execute
    but as root user I have the following result:
    # ps -ef|grep oracle
    oracle 974 958 0 20:00:24 pts/2 0:00 -ksh
    oracle 1115 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_lgwr_zxin
    oracle 1119 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_smon_zxin
    oracle 985 1 0 20:00:43 ? 0:00 /export/home/oracle/oracle92/bin/tnslsnr LISTENER -inherit
    root 3222 1060 0 20:54:48 pts/2 0:00 grep oracle
    oracle 1113 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_dbw0_zxin
    oracle 1117 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_ckpt_zxin
    oracle 1111 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_pmon_zxin
    oracle 1121 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_reco_zxin
    oracle 1123 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_cjq0_zxin
    oracle 1125 1 0 20:03:43 ? 0:00 ora_qmn0_zxin

    Please help me to solve this issue.

    post results when you do like below

    [oracle@localhost ~]$ which ps
    /bin/ps
    [oracle@localhost ~]$ ls -l /bin/ps
    -r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 79004 Mar 31 2010 /bin/ps
    [oracle@localhost ~]$
