    Unanswered: RE DB2 Text Search

I am working with an existing instance of db2version 9.7 fp 5.
I need to know if DB2 Text Search is already installed.

    I see the following directories:

    so I assume it is.

    I issue

    -bash-3.2$ export DB2DBDFT=STGCR92U
    -bash-3.2$ db2ts START FOR TEXT

    and get
SQL20427N An error occurred during a text search administration procedure or command. The error message is "CIE0774E Failed to fetch the text search configuration, see db2diag.log for more information. ". SQLSTATE=38H14

I also see that in 9.7 Text Search is no longer automatically installed in a typical installation. It requires a custom install.

How can I determine whether Text Search is installed on this server?

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
