Unanswered: Help with Conditional Formatting to Highlight Out of Sync Dates in a Row

    Hello,

I desperately need help in the easiest way to highlight dates that are out of sync.
I work with Forecast dates and I need a formula or conditional format that highlights dates that our larger than the previous forecast date.

    Example:
If column I (F090) has a date that is larger than columns J (F091), then highlight. I need the conditional formatting to start at Column I thru Column N.

Dates should be in sequence: 2/15/14, 2/16/14, 2/18/14, etc.
Highlight if a date is not in sequence: 2/15/14, 3/28/14, 2/18/14, etc.

I really appreciate any assistance I can get.
    Thank you.

I'm using Microsoft Excel 2010. I don't know if it will work with others.

Create a new conditional rule. The selected rule type will need to be "Use a formula to determine which cells to format".

Now assuming that you are applying the rule from ROW 1 to ROW 100...

    In the 'rule' type

    =$I1>$J1

    In the 'applies to' type

    =$I$1:$N$100

    This should do it.
