Unanswered: Forcing db2 Isolation level is JDBC Connection

    Hi,
We are using DB2 9.7 on Linux .

We have a database which is an central repository. We have external clients that connect to that database using JDBC and query it .

My question is can we force those users to come with a standard isolation level.

We want that users with isolation level TRANSACTION_READ_COMMITTED be only allowed to query the database or its particular objects and any other isolation level not be allowed.

It doesn't look feasible. You can indeed change the JDBC connection isolation level using a property, but since it's on the client side you have no control over it. Moreover, users can override the default session isolation level by issuing SET CURRENT ISOLATION or using an isolation clause with individual queries.

"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
