Question Unanswered: Microsoft sql login profile

    Hi,
I am new to ms sql.

    My use case:
    1. Create login profile
    2. Assign permissions to the login profile
    3. Login into the ms sql server by using login profile
    4. Create user, database

Can I assign permissions to a login profile?

To login into the sql server, login profile alone is enough?

Could you please share information and scripts

    Thanks,
    Martheeswaran M

did you read the coursework before attempting the homework?
“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.

Why would reading it here be anymore efficient than reading the documentation. Here you go...

Let me google that for you

Yes you can assign permissions to a login. Depending on the server role of the login, you may need specific database access granted to you as well.
