    Unanswered: DB2 Monitoring-db2TOP command

    Is it good idea to use DB2TOP command in production machine,if i use it for monitoring DB activities for 8-10 hours a day? Will it consume more CPU utilization?

    Once you can try it in batch mode and observe the memory consumed by db2top .

    db2top is resource intensive on large DPF systems with a lot of partitions, when used interactively

    db2pd would be a good alternative.
