    Unanswered: Query in Forms

    I am having a difficult time trying to establish the following query into two of the forms I have created in my Access 2010 dB. I have attempted to point to one of the forms in the 'Criteria' field to no avail.

    SELECT Count(*) AS PPCount
    FROM (SELECT DISTINCT [Pay Date] FROM [List Gross Pay Query]) AS [%$##@_Alias]
    WHERE (((Count(*))=[Forms]![List Checks]![Pay Date]));

    Can you anyone kindly assist me? Thanks in advance!

    1. Check the validity of the objects names (i.e. is there a form named List Checks and is there a control (Textbox, Combobox or Listbox) named Pay Date (check the spelling)?

    2. Is the form open (not in Design mode) when the query is run?

    3. Is List Checks a main form (i.e. not a subform)? For subforms, the syntax is different (see: Forms: Refer to Form and Subform properties and controls).
    Have a nice day!
