Unanswered: select into with unique index

    hi guys,
i have a situation which unfortunately haven't tested yet. I have original table with 1 column unique index and one dummy table similar structure with the original table with unique index. Original table has 10000 records and dummy table has 10500 updated records. Question here is is it possible to just select into from dummy table to original table to copy missing records on original table. Any effect on original table with unique index? would select into allow me to copy rest of the records and skip duplicate records?

You can use insert into original_table <column list> select <columnlist> from dummytable where <uniquevalue> not in (select uniquevalue> from <original_table>, if I am correct.
