    Unanswered: Use form to update current data and to append the record to a separate history table

    Hi

    I'm currently working on a training database (using Access 2010) and the client wants to be able to keep a full history of every training record. Ideally I want to be able to use the update form I already have to also append the data into a separate history table so that everything that has happened to 1 employee is recorded.

    Is this possible. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    If you want to insert the data into another table, you can either open a Recordset on the history table and insert the data from the form RecordsetClone to the recordet, call an INSERT query to do the job or create an INSERT query dynamically in a procedure of the form and have it executed by the Currentdb object.
