Unanswered: -2147457259 - Cannot open the Microsoft Jet engine workgroup information file

We have an old VB6 app that has been working fine years, but today 2 different users called up with the same problem:

    --------------------
OpenDatabase error #-2147467259 - Cannot open the Microsoft Jet engine workgroup information file.

    c:\blah blah\thedatabase.mdb
    --------------------

The database is password protected, but we have never used workgroup information files or anything like that.

Is there a new Windows update that has come down recently that is causing this? Any thoughts on how to get around it?

    Thanks.

more likely your network trolls have been dicking around with the office installation.
if you have been using an JET db, then defacto you have been using a workgroup file, the two go hand in hand.

find the location and specify that as part of the opening arguments to make the coinnection
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

nvm, it appears to be a Kaspersky issue, they are working on a fix now
