    Question Unanswered: Execution plan

I have a requirement to tune a sybase query. It is a join of 4 tables
While checking the execution plan of the query i found that one of tables is having full table scan.
I read that changing the order of tables joined in FROM clause matters to decide which table must have full table scan.
It worked in one database but in another database i don't see any impact of changing the order in FROM clause.

Any clue what's the concept here?

Start with update index statisics on the 4 tables. Make sure you don't use functions on the indexed column. You might have to force an index e.g.
SELECT ... FROM sysobjects (INDEX ncsysobjects) where ...
But leave that as a last resort.
