Can I get some help on this set of problems please?

    PARENT (ParentNumber, ParentName, SiblingName, Job)

1.) Candidate Keys - ParentNumber and ParentName?

2.) Show a relation for two parents, (one has 3 siblings the other has one). Each Parent has one job.

3.) Show data changes to add a second job for the first parent only.

4.) Show data changes to add a second job for the second parent.

5.) Why is this relation not well-formed?

    6.) Functional dependencies?

Ok so guessing its your homework, what have you got so far
Where do you think you need assistance
what areas do you think you are struggling with
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

I have this so far and am wondering if you simply just add a Job2 for questions three and four. And have the second parents Job2 for question three be unknown?

what makes your think the candidate keys are as proposed
do you think the proposed columns are genuinely candidate keys
what do you think candidate keys are

whenever I see a column with a numerical suffix it makes me suspicous the design is not normalised. presuambly when the school or college set this assessment having two jobs was a rarity

    why stop at two jobs?
what is the purpose of storing the job datra
do you need hiostoric job data (ie x smith was trainess in April 2013, promoted to wharrehouseman in Sept2013, FLT driver in March 2014...

    why is this relationship?
well its crap design. a short succinct and accurate answer

for these sort of problems a picture is worth a thousand words. ferisntance I have no clue as to what the datatypes are, what the relationships are
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
