    Unanswered: INSTANCEID is not having priveliges

    Hi All,
    I got an issue looks like very different kind of thing.

    I have taken a backup from one database and restore into another server with INST1 instance. but INST1 is not having any AUTHORITIES except SYSADM.
    Even select * scehma.table also not working.
    Please help to how to solve this issue.

    You need SECADM to GRANT database authorities.

    I have able to access all tables with the help of db2set DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES=ON

    This is a feature of 9.7, take a look at the following message:
    IBM SQL0552N error on GRANT command after restoring a DB2 V9.7 database to a new server. - United States
    The way we get around this on our systems is we grant authority for the target before the backup is run, execute the backup, and revoke temporary authority when backup is complete. If this is not an option for you, create the old instance id on thew new host and run grants accordingly
