The Analyst works closely with MicroStrategy Architect on architecture design, schema object development; user administration and security oversight; product installation, documentation, testing, and post-installation approval; and assistance with all schema-related deployments. All tasks performed in accordance with established business intelligence standards.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery/implementation of reporting solutions to include:
Interacting with internal clients and other resources to determine business requirements and specifications.
Interpret customer/business needs and translate them into reports, cubes, dashboards, etc.
Develop, maintain, and document MicroStrategy reports and dashboards.
Design, Develop, Test and Implement MicroStrategy Reports and Reports Objects.
Scheduling and maintenance of reports using Distribution Services and Narrowcast Server.
Strong Hands-on experience using MicroStrategy Suite of products (MicroStrategy 9 preferred).
Develop queries to retrieve and analyze data from various sources for projects, program, or reports.
Conversion of reports from legacy systems (SSRS) to MicroStrategy.
Plan, test and implement enhancements to the BI environment on a regular release cycle.
Provide training to peers and end users in the use of reporting, data provisioning and analytic tools.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a related technical field preferably with one to three years of progressively responsible experience in data solutions development, including data warehousing concepts, SQL knowledge. Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS or other ETL or BI tools.
