Unanswered: db2_deinstall command
what is the command to deinstall or uninstall earlier versions of DB2. We wanted to uninstall V9.5 without having any impact on V9.7 libraries/instances etc.etc..
I confirmed that there are no instances under V9.5 directory with the help of db2ilist tool.
Are these 2 steps good enough?
step 1: $ cd /opt/IBM/db2/V9.5/install
step 2: $ db2_deinstall -a
what is the difference between -a and -b option.
Can I use db2_deinstall -b /opt/IBM/db2/V9.5 instead of
db2_deinstall -a ?
My current list of db2 directories.
$ ls -ltr
drwxr-xr-x 50 root system 4096 Jun 15 2011 V9.5
drwxr-xr-x 39 root system 4096 Jan 15 2012 V9.7

db2_deinstall - Uninstall DB2 database products or features
You can safely cd into the V9.5/install, and run db2_deinstall -a if you already verified there are no 9.5 instances.
