Unhappy Unanswered: Create Form from 2 One-to-many Tables

    Hi there,

I have 3 linked tables and I'm trying to create a form to enter in the data. In summary the 3 tables I have are:

    CREATE TABLE PerformanceReview(
    perfRevID INT IDENTITY(1,1),
    revOpenDate DATETIME,
    revCloseDate DATETIME,
    allObjectivesCompleted CHAR(1))

    CREATE TABLE DevelopmentObjective(
    devObjID INT IDENTITY(1,1),
    objName VARCHAR(50))

    CREATE TABLE DevelopmentObjectiveReview(
    devObjRevID INT IDENTITY(1,1),
    perfRevID INT,
    devObjID INT,
    objCompleted CHAR(1),
    objCompleted DATETIME)

PerformanceReview is linked to DevelopmentObjectiveReview in a 1 to many relationship.
DevelopmentObjective is linked to DevelopmentObjectiveReview in a 1 to many relationship.

I want the main form to be PerformanceReview and the subform to list all objectives from DevelopmentObjective where I can tick and review each objective for completion and the date of completion and this data will be stored in the DevelopmentObjectiveReview table. I then want to be able to tick the main for allObjectivesCompleted if all the subform objectives were completed.

Can you help set up this form?

    separate form to contain developmentobjectives

top level form contains Perfomance reveiw data
    sub form to contain DevelopmentObjectiveReview

use requery button to make certain changes in developmentobjectives are reflected in the (I guess) combo/listbox in the Performancereview form

mind you I am wonderign if you need an IDENTITY column in DevelopmentObjectiveReview, I would assume that the combined priamry key of perfRevID & devObjID would be sufficient, unless you have the same pairing more than once over time
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
