I have to restore a backup of an existing database in one more server.
I also have the archive logs copied to the destination server
I have a online backup taken at 10:30PM yesterday.
I need to restore the database to 4 AM today.
Determine the storage-layout differences between the source and target environments to see if you need to use a redirected RESTORE or not. Determine if the instance-owner differs between source and target to see if you need to set DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES db2 registry variable before the restore.
Study the one line knowledge centre for your db2 version/platform for the ROLLFORDWARD DATABASE command and its OVERFLOW LOG PATH and TO $isotime arguments
Study the knowledge centre to see what post-restore actions you might need on the new environment(in case of version/ fixpack differences etc).
