Unanswered: New and need Help- Database Cache

    Hello all,
I'm still new at Database technologies, and would like to ask for you help.

My question is can you cache a postgresql database locally?

Example: ABC database is in companyA, can companyB create XYZ database to mimic ABC database? So whenever there is a update to the record in ABC database, XYZ will also see the update.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!!

The caching process that you seek is called "replication", and PostgreSQL can do database replication in more than one way. Google the phrase "PostgreSQL replication" for examples.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
