Unanswered: DB2 Restore dump file from 10.1 to 10.5 failed

    Hello,

I had an error concerning the restore of a dump file created on DB2 10.1. I try to export it in DB2 10.5 version but I had this problem:
    Code:
SQL2519N The database was restored but the restored database was not upgraded
to the current release. Error "-912" with tokens "1
    " is returned.
In the db2log I saw that message :

    Code:
    2014-07-03-12.55.52.325000+120 I1438880F965 LEVEL: Severe
    PID : 3924 TID : 3336 PROC : db2bp.exe
    INSTANCE: DB2 NODE : 000 DB : SS11
    APPID : *LOCAL.DB2.140703105526
    HOSTNAME: Manager-PC
    EDUID : 3336
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, base sys utilities, sqlescdb, probe:183
    MESSAGE : ZRC=0xFFFFFC70=-912
SQL0912N The maximum number of lock requests has been reached for
the database. Reason code = ""
I already try to increase the agent_stack_sz but it doesn't work.
I read some topics suggesting to increase the "locklist" parameter but this parameter is database based and I can only modify this paramter after creating the database. I think it would be good if I can specifie a default value for that parametre before doing my restore.

    Any help would be appreciated

    thanks in advance

The message stated that the restore completed, (but the upgrade to v10.5 failed).
This should mean that the database now exists (but in v10.1 format), verify this from the db directory.

Try to Set the LOCKLIST to automatic for the database and ensure stmm is enabled.
Run db2ckupgrade (see docs) and resolve any issues, check log files carefully.

Then try 'db2 upgrade database $your_database_name rebindall"

    Hello,

I tried to run this :
    Code:
    db2ckupgrade SS11 -l myLog.log -u myUser -p myPassword
but I get this error now:
    Code:
DBT5529N The db2ckupgrade utility did not complete successfully. The database cannot be upgraded. The output log file is named "myLog.log".
in the log file I have this error message:
    Code:
Version of DB2CKUPGRADE being run: VERSION "10.5"Database: "SS11" DBT5509N The db2ckupgrade utility failed because it could not connect to the database. Database: "SS11".DBT5529N The db2ckupgrade utility did not complete successfully. The database cannot be upgraded. The output log file is named "myLog.log".
I try to connect to the database but I get this:
    Code:
SQL5035N The database must be upgraded to the current release.
    SQLSTATE=55001
My login and password are good but I think my failed previous upgrade prevent me to connect to the database.

    What is the output of:

    db2 list db directory

Specifically does it show your database SS11 in the above output?

If database SS11 is present in the db directory, what is the result of:
db2 update db cfg for ss11 using locklist automatic

When you run the v10.5 db2ckupgrade (running as the db2-instance owner, or with sysadm rights) , what entries are added to the db2diag.log ?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your help,

I found the solution by increasing the LOCKLIST after that the upgrade of the database failed and then I executed again the upgrade command on the database.

    It works fine now,

    Thanks for your precious advices,
