    Unanswered: Auto to DMS TBSP

    Hi all,

    V 10.1 on RHEL6

    i have altered my DB to enable auto. storage i converted my 1 DMS to automatic storage.

    Can i revert back it again to DMS ? is it possible.

    does it mean table space can not be converted to DMS again ?

    not with a command - maybe restore (never tested)
    according the doc : FP1: DMS permanent table spaces are deprecated

    Keep in mind that Auto Storage tablespaces are still DMS or SMS under the covers. The only difference is that Auto Storage defines the storage path(s) for you.

    Non-Auto Storage tablespaces are being deprecated (not supported in a future release), so you don't want to move off them. If you think there is some limitation to Auto Storage, look at also using Storage Groups.
