Unanswered: all db logs got delete - db running

    Hi all,

I am working on db2 10.1 with archive logging.

Our all online and current archive log got deleted by an incorrect command. surprisingly no data was lost and also db remained in connected state all work goes on normally.

i have a doubt that in what case DB and instance will go down ? how db recovered with this error without any warning error / data loss ?

log directory after some time get again populated with next log sequences and log head moved further.

But i believe loss on online and archive logs are crucial for db to run.

    kindly suggest.

As long as no rollbacks are issued for any open unit of work that is contained in the deleted logs, you may be OK. I would take an offline backup to be safe.
