Transport company database design (ERD + Report)

Hi guys, This is my assignment , needs your help ,

Transport company database design (ERD + Report)

    Please read below ,
Montego University requested your help in designing a database system to maintain its transportation service center (TSC). THe center has over 60 vehicles in its fleet to meet the short term and seasonal vehicle needs of faculty and staff. A general description of its process follows:
The university consist of various faculties, each faculty control one or more departments. For example the faculty of business consists of department of behaviour science, marketing and management. Faculty members are allowed to use the University owned vehicles for approved travel. For example, it may be used by department members to travel to off campus research ceners, to meet the suppliers of compas equipment, to fetch the oversea visiting members etc.
By filling up a reservation form, each department may reserve vehicles for its faculty, who are responsible for filing out the appropriate travel completion form at the end of each trip. The reservation form must incorporate the expected departure date, vehicle type required, destination, date of return, types of cehicle (12 passenger van , car , 7 passengers minivan), total number of passengers, driver license ID and the authorized faculty member. When the faculty member arrives to pick up the vehicle, he/she must sign a check-out form to log the vehicle out and to pick up a travel completion form. (The TSC employee who releases the vehicle for use also signs the check-out form). The faculty members's travel completion form includes the falcuty member's staff number, the vehicle's identification number(VIN), the odometer reading at the start and end of the trip, maintenance complaints, if any, litres of fuel purchased, if any, and the university credit card number used to pay for such fuel. If fuel has neem purchased, the credit card receipt must be stapled to the trip completion form. Upon recipt of the Faculty Travel Completion form, the faculty member's department is billed at a mileage rate based on the vehicle type(sedan, station wagon, panel truck, minivan, minibus) used. HINT: Do NOT use more entities than are necessary.Remember the difference between attributes and entities!

All vehicle repair/maintenance is serviced by TSC. Each time a vehicle requires repair/maintenance, a log entry is completed on a pre-numbered maintenance log form. The maintainence log form includes the vehicle identification number, a brief description of the type of maintenance required, the initial log entry date, the date on which maintenance was completed, and the identification (staff number) of the mechanic who released the vehicle back into service.(Only mechanics who have an inspection authorization may release the vehicle back into services.)
TSC maintains records of all accidents that involved in their vehicle. Each vehicle has associated with it zero or any number of recorded accidents. The information includes: the staff involved police report ID, types of accident(e.g Read-end collisions,Head-on collisions, Sideswipe collisions), location, damaged amount, vehicle number and date.
As soon as the log form has been initiated, the log form's number is transfered to a maintenance detail form; the log form's number is also forwarded to the parts department manager, who fills out a parts usage form on chich maintenance log number is recorded. The maintenance detail form contains separate lines for each maintenance item performed , the parts used, and the identification of the mechanic who performed the maintenance item. WHen all the maintenance items have beeen completedm the maintenance deatail form is stapled to the maintenance log form, the maintenance log form's completion date is filled out, and the mechanic who releases the vehicle back to service signs the form. The stapled forms are thn filed, to be used later as the source for various maintenance reports.
TSC maintains a parts inventory, including oil, oil filters, belts of various types, and so on. The parts inventory is monitored daily to monitor parts usage and to re-order parts that reach the "minimim quantity on hand" level. To track parts usage , the parts manager requires each mechanice to sign out the parts that are used to perform each vehicle's maintenance; the parts manager records the maintenance log number under which the part is used.
TSC maintains a vendor list which contains both the vendors actually used as well as potential vendors.
    Task in this assignment :

    1) given this brief summary of operations, Draw the appropriate (and fully-labeled!) E-R diagram. Use the Crow's foot to indicate entities, relationships, Attributes, Primary key, foreign key and cardinalities. You are to resolve Many to Many relations if exist.

    what are you stuck on
    what problems have you hit
what do you think you dont understand about the assignment that you believe that can be answered by people who dont know the syllabus of your course.

if you dont understand what is requested then contact your fellow students or teacher / lecturer in the first instance
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

Posting your assignment is unacceptable. Posting questions about it that have specific answers (like Yes, No, 12, etc.) are welcome. Asking for additional help is probably Ok, but there are limits.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
