    Unanswered: DB2 Trigger to kickoff at time interval

    Is there any way we can kick off the DB2 trigger at a specified time intervals, says run every 5 minutes

    You better use db scheduler or os cron for this.... time wise trigger is not possible.

    Hello gopurs,

    Please post the version/ platform. You can configure db2 admin scheduler if required.

    Help - IBM Data Studio version 3.1.1, InfoSphere Optim Query Workload Tuner version 3.1.1, and InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime version 3.1.1

    on the mainframe you have a number of choices. Talk to any of the following to help you out: your sysprogs/job schedulers/MQ folks/CICS/rexx programmer

    But a trigger??? Not happening. Trigger gets started by something happening in the database.
    I do remember someone posting an SQL statement that would "sleep" for x amount of time, though I would reccommend something else.
