    Unanswered: Application connection error ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001

    Database connection failed:[jcc][t4][2043][11550][3.50.152] Exception java.net.ConnectException: Error opening socket to server

    message: A remote host refused am attempted connect operation.. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001


    Hi all ,
    while connecting to application it is showing above error.

    DB21085I Instance "db2admin" uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09058"
    with level identifier "06090107".
    Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.5.0.8", "special_29376", "IP23263_29376", and
    Fix Pack "8".
    Product is installed at "/TEST/IBM/db2/V9.5_1".

    Check OS firewall and db2 service/ TCPIP protocol configuration. Check port is not blocked.

    Thanks for your reply , tried telnet , ping from application server , it is working fine.

    Did you telnet to the specific port number?

    Also, what version is the client (I am assuming our server is DB2 v9.5.0.8)? Your server code is no longer supported by IBM, and your client may be too new to connect to such an old DB2 server.

    Also, post the output of "db2set -all" to make sure TCPIP is configured for the instance.

    check selinux, post db2set and dbm cfg db2service name, which client u r using?
