    Unanswered: same proc two versions

    Hello all ,

    Version info:

DB21085I This instance or install (instance name, where applicable:
"db2insts") uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL10013" with level
    identifier "0204010E".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v10.1.0.3", "s130918", "IP23515", and Fix Pack
    "3".
    Product is installed at "/opt/ibm/db2/V10.1".

Under SQLJ schema i am getting two versions of same procedure for 2 procedures only which are are:

    DB2_INSTALL_JAR(BLOB, VARCHAR, INTEGER)
    DB2_INSTALL_JAR(BLOB, VARCHAR)

    and other is

    REMOVE_JAR(VARCHAR, INTEGER)
    REMOVE_JAR(VARCHAR)

why these two versions are provided ? which on to use.

    thanks

this is correct - works as designed
because the sp is identified by name and signature (parameters )
always drop the sp before creating the same or same with different options or use a specific name to identify these sp

    Use sqlj.install_jar

Refer to the knowledge-centre and study the page at:

"DB2 for Linux UNIX and Windows 10.1.0>Developing code for accessing and managing data>Developing routines>External routines>Java routines>Deploying Java routines>JAR file administration"

concerning the purpose and usage of the integer parameter .
