Question Unanswered: VB Script to call and execute SQL query

I have a SQL query created by a vendor which runs against a SQL database and produces results of application status as up or down. The script runs daily and emails are generated which are forwarded to team members. I want to use Microsoft SCOM to create dashboards and alerting based off the information contained in this query. To do this I need to create a script which would call and execute the query. The connection string can be created within SCOM so basically I need help with the script. Would anyone be able to direct me in the right direction?

    Any responses appreciated
