    Unanswered: Database forum

    I know a little bit about Microsoft Access, but I am struggling getting what I want to do, done.

    So I have a database with a couple tables: users, computers, and peripherals for those computers. I will be putting the user name associated with each computer and peripheral into the respective tables.

    Long story short, I want to use a form to search for a user and have a report display all of the computers, and peripherals that have that user name associated with it.

    Anyone know how I could do this? Its for personal use within access and won't need to be used by any outside parties.

    I would have only 2 tables, users, equip.
    tEquip:
    ItmType = PC, or PRNTR , or LAP
    Make
    model
    serial#
    owner
    etc...

    Put a user combo box on the form. The form shows a tabular list of equip.
    the After update event of the combo will filter the records:
    Code:
    After_update()
    me.filter = "[user]='" & cboUser & "'"
    me.filteron = true

    Thank you for the reply,

    How would I display this on a report though?

    Basically I'm trying to use the form to search for a user and have their row from the users table and the rows that include their username in the computer table, displayed together on a form
