    Unanswered: problem with subquery

    AircraftTypes
    Model
    Aname
    MachSpeed

    Aircraft
    AID
    Model
    DateInService
    HID

    Hangers
    HID
    Acres

Question. The AID, DateInService, Aname(which is the aircraft name), and MachSpeed for all planes on the base.

    SELECT aid, dateinservice, aname, machspeed
    FROM aircrafttypes, aircraft

I get this error message: Your query has retrieved too many rows. It is likely that you have accidently done a cross join or a partial cross join. Carefully inspect your join condition if you have an ON clause. Make sure the join condition shouldn't be based on multiple columns. If you are using a natural join make sure you know which columns have the same name.

    Please help

You need to add a JOIN clause with an appropriate ON clause.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
