    Unanswered: archival rate and checkpoint

    Hello all,

    I m using db2 10.1 on RHEL 5 .

    I am trying to tune the log archival rate and checkpoint to improve systems performance.

    What is IBM recommendation for the same ? How to set checkpoint frequency ? what are the consequences of high archival rate ?

    thanks in advance

    you could adjust logfilsiz to have a more frequent archive
    it defines the recovery window
    1 archive a day -> crash + log lost = 1 day lost
    1 archive each 15min : potential lost : 15 min
