Unanswered: Is it possbile to stop applying transactions logs in standby for sometime (HADR)

    HI all,
i am using db2 v9.5 (fixpack 8) in aix. we have HADR configured.
I want to Delay the “apply” process on standby server ( Archives will be shipped but not applied in standby).

Is there any possible way to achieve this.

    Ravi,
I am by no means an expert on this topic, but from my understanding NO. You can delay applying changes, but the logs would not have been shipped to your standby. There is a ton of reading you can do on the subject though for more indepth options.

    Hi,

Probably the only method is to issue the DEACTIVATE DB MYDB on Standby and manually (or via some scheduled script) ship archived logs from Primary to Standby.
    Regards,
    Mark.
