    Unanswered: Qualifiers on federation objects

    Hi,

I have created a wrapper & remote servers to access the other databases.
    Every thing is working fine.
My question is If table A is on databaseZ,I am working on database x.
On sitting on X, how can i access the table A on databaseZ.
what i require is can any one provide me the exact naming qualifiers to access the table A on database Z as,

    wrapper .server.database.schema.table

Kindly correct me if I a wrong.I am trying to call this from command prompt.

I need the exact syntax to query the objects on other database running through federation.

You create a NICKNAME for the table. Then you just reference the nickname just like any other table (schema.name) and DB2 does the rest.

    Hi,

Starting from 10.1 you can use Federated three-part names for remote tables.
You can refer these remote tables as SERVER.REMOTESCHEMA.REMOTENAME.
Have a look at the Federated three-part names topic.
    Regards,
    Mark.
