Hello, my company is finally taking the next step into information technology, and looking into starting a DB. Initially, the DB is going to be used to set up an inventory pricing list. As time moves on, we would be looking to integrate it into applications such as service dispatch, and creating service tickets for invoicing, and tech support. Being as we are just starting out for the most part, most everything we have is either on a server in individual files, or in Quickbooks. I'm just looking for guidance into DB programs to look into to get this operation off the ground without taking on too much waste. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
