    Unanswered: extracting pages from bkp image

    Hello all,


    Db2 10.1 wse on RHEL6

    I am trying to extract pages from db2 backup image

    command is:

    db2ckbkp -e DBMSTC.0.db2inst1.DBPART000.20140925113748.001


    ERROR: ERROR: Failed to initialize pages to extract. rc = -3

    file : extractPage.in


    cat extractPage.in

    2 3 T 0 40

    any sugessions ?

    Thanks guy,

    After incorporating OBJECT TYPE 'S' and running the command again

    ERROR: Failed to initialize pages to extract. rc = -4


    Above error occured

    Where these RCs are explained ? any URL ?

    s=sms table space ?? is the rest of input ok : how was it defined ?

    For SMS table spaces:

    S <tbspID> <objID> <objType> <startPage> <numPages>

    and find the above info by querying the catalog

    SYSCAT.TABLES
