Unanswered: SQL2542N DB2 Restore Incremental Automatic

    Hi Folks,

I'm using DB2 V10.1 and need restore db from PROD server to DEV Server :
    - in PROD >> db2 backup db PRODDB incremental to /BACKUP/PROD (daily) and Full Backup in sunday

    - in DEV >> db2 restore db PROD incremental automatic from /BACKUP/DEV taken at <ts2> into DEVDB redirect

I have copied BACKUP IMAGE FULL BACKUP (ts1) & INCREMENTAL (ts2) to /BACKUP/DEV directory

When i execute db2 restore command, error messages is SQL2542N, like db2 can't find image db in /BACKUP/DEV directory, cause db2 try to search in folder /BACKUP/PROD.

Any suggest how to change parameter to point /BACKUP/DEV.

    regards

    Hi,

It seems Some inc. bkp images needed to restore the db completely are missing and not copied by you.

    You may use "db2ckrst -d <your_db> -t <your_timestamp>" command
to verify all the inc. images needed to successful restore of prod to dev environment.

    because you use automatic restore
it looks for the file location in history file in backup (prod machine)
manual restore of all files should be used
