Unanswered: Configure DB Datastore to different Drive in Linux

    Hi,

I am trying setup a Mysql Server such that, my DB data store is in my secondary Drive (/dev/sdb1). I am using a Centos 6.4 Machine. Any Suggestions on how to accomplish this ?

I tried out one method where my /var directory is mounted to /dev/sdb1., but after i do it., my machine is not booting after a reboot.

    Thanks,
    Sajith

    locate the configuration file(s)
    specifically look for my.ini

..you can specify the location of the data files there
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
