Unanswered: Cascading combo boxes not showing previous saved records

I made a form for users to go back and see saved records as and when required. However my cascading combo box are not showing the saved information. Information is saved in back end.

No the refresh/requery needs to be in the FORMS after update event, as this event fires after the row is inserted.

    Hey Haldem

Requery is working for 2 of my combo boxes but not working for other three This is what I am writing
    Private Sub Form_AfterUpdate()
    Me.Zone.Requery
    Me.Department.Requery
    'Me.[Inspection Audit].Value
    'Me.txtRootCause.Value
    Me.txtMicroRootCause.Value
    Me.txtCountermeasure.value
    End Sub

but for other combo boxes its just giving me one option "Value" which is not doing the trick as "Requery" I am not understanding how to solve the problem. Please help

so what are you doing that is different between the combo boxes that are refreshed and the ones that aren't

    what do you think
    Code:
    Me.txtMicroRootCause.Value
    Me.txtCountermeasure.value
    is supposed to do?

..well it would, seing as you have
    Code:
    Me.Zone.Requery
    Me.Department.Requery
but there is no other code there that refreshes combo boxes.

Im also surprised that you feel you need to refresh every combo box each and every time a row is inserted. what I tend to do is have a button alongside combo boxes that allows users to refresh the combo if they require. used for say changes in masterfile data (eg products, product types and so on, stuff that doesn't; change that often).

refreshing 5 combo boxes after every insert potentially could generate a lot of redundant data access, which is going to hurt performance, hit your network. unless you need to update don't
