    Unanswered: Iseries db2 installation

I worked as a mainframe developer , at that time i don't know that db2 can be installed & used separately without the Z/OS & cobol etc. Now i am working only on db2 by installing db2 c express. similarly I worked as an iseries developer too, as Db2 can be installed alone without Z/OS, can i install DB2/400 without OS/400.
what I mean i want to work with Db2/400 development alone without using any rpg,cl languages.
I want to write procedures & functions only on db2/400. Is it possible. if so where can i get the Iseries database.

On iSeries the database is a part of the operating system, so you can't have one without the other, and either without the corresponding hardware. Here's one option.
"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
